A journey back into your black and white days

Do you remember those days?

Those black and white days
which actually brimmed with colour
.
Pink blue yellow n' purple...yes all of them and more!
Those faded ice cream days,

When our mouths were filled with belly-aching laughter
and our tongues with joyful songs...
.
Days when you pretended to be asleep while still awake
just to surprise daddy when he came from work real late
.
That one day, when you met me
while still rubbing your swollen eyelids, our first day at school
.
Days when you fought for the red balloon and
that window seat in the school bus
.
Those days when you never ever lied
fearing the crows that would bite
.
Those days of muddy hands
when tears fought their way over your broken castle made of sand
.
Days when I played cop n' thief
while you were still happy with your kitchen set
.
Those days when we put every broken tooth under the pillow,
waiting for the tooth fairy... who never showed up!
.
That one day when I learnt losing a best friend is hard
especially when it was you in the lap of God
.
Because that's when u snuffed out
leaving me behind to write about..
